2010, sketchbook #6

Finally back from out of town. Here's more sketchbook art...

New art coming soon, I promise!

2010, sketchbook #5

I'm nearly done with re-blogging all my old art! A lot of stuff was left out, but I got most the stuff I still kinda like. Anyhow, here's more sketchbook stuff from 2010.

I like how the two girls in the bottom corner came out on the one above.

These ones are kind of hard to see, but they're unfinished drawings of this feral little girl called Genie. Her story is really sad. Google her if you're in the mood to feel really shitty.

Cats.

Forest girls- one of my favorite things to draw besides hillbillies.

Highschool friends. I still want to make some comics about the dumb stuff that went on back then, but I don't know if I'll ever get around to it for real.

More coming soon!

2010, Sketchbook from Brandy

My good friend Brandy gave me this beautiful sketchbook that she got from the Renaissance fair last May (at least I think it was May), and I vowed to only draw wood nymphs and forest girls in it. I have yet to fill it completely, but here are a few of the drawings that I have in it.

Here's a photo of how cute the sketchbook is.

More soon!

Saw you on the train, except it wasn't you again...

I'm so jetlagged it isn't normal anymore. I went to a party Saturday, had a great time and barely slept afterwards. So I thought I would be tired yesterday evening. Oh, I really wasn't. Around 4 AM I was still jumping around. Mostly because I can't wait till Lowlands! That will be the best weekend of my whole summer vacation. Only 3 days left!!

What do you think of this Dahlia blouse? When it comes to tops I always like it when they’re flowy, a bit sheer with a nice pattern. In the last few months I’ve been wearing more and more jeans and I find it hard to find nice tops, since I’ve always been a dress kind of gal as most of you know! I adore the lightning print and the dots on the collar make the whole blouse quirkier and I can’t forget the lovely bow detail on the buttons! This blouse is surely the epitome of loveliness! I would appreciate it if you'd leave a comment here.

I'm wearing a Dahlia blouse, bag and scissor bracelet, Topshop floppy hat, Levi's curve ID jeans, Seiko watch and Zara wedges.

And here's an awesome song someone nice has send me this morning.
Drop the lime will also be on Lowlands, but sadly I will have to miss that. Good thing I saw it last Saturday!

And I'm back!

So I'm finally returned from my holiday in Curacao. It was a lovely holiday with incredible warm weather! 35 degrees Celsius almost every day. I was on a mission to get really tanned, but I failed miserably (looks like I've got in a fight with a self tanner). I got such a bad sun burn, that I avoided the sun for at least 5 days. I couldn't even wear a bra the first week! Though constantly wearing a bikini because of that wasn't a punishment. I enjoyed eating bananas in my banana bikini. I also enjoy saying that. Sadly enough I don't have a photo of that. But ok, enough writing, here are a few photo's.

A bit of hurricane/tropical storm Emily. The colours were precisely like that.

And a little consequence of the storm

I'll post a new outfit soon! Already made the photo's, but they're for Dahlia, so you'll have to wait a little bit longer.
